A classic regency style sideboard by Martin J Dodge, suppliers to 10 Downing Street, probably late C20th.

Based in Wincanton Martin Dodge established his business in 1968, using hand crafted techniques to produce up to 100 classic furniture styles, plus many bespoke items for such as super-yachts, 10 Downing St, and The Ritz Hotel.

This beautiful sideboard is made of mahogany, cross banded with satin wood, and strung with ebony.

It is in excellent overall condition, with the exception of a few minor faults associated with use through several decades i.e scuff marks and loss of colour to a small area to the top.

The maker’s label is attached to the inner drawer side of both drawers.
