Oil on board of a bearded man. The rear shows the artist as Louise Klem. We belive we have other portraits of hers listed though there is some difference in the names/monograms.

We have a portrait listed of a woman of her side profile which is monogrammed FLC.

We also have another portrait of a bearded man also monogrammed FLC. However, the rear of the frame has the handwritten name Klem which ties in with the bearded man painting above. We believe that though the monograms end with a ‘C’ she also goes by ‘Klem’. This argument is also strenghtened by the fact all were bought together along with others since sold.

Please note that the large label to the rear has nothing to do with this painting.
