INDUSTRIAL CUPBOARD WITH DISTRESSED GREEN PAINT
CODE F9
This naively constructed pine two door cupboard was found in a shed that sat there for least 70 years, ageing this to the 1950’s. It had been covered with a blanket for years. This was all relayed to us by the daughter of her late parents. Her father used this cupboard in his workshop shed. An environment it could end up again.
The bolt used to keep the doors closed was found as it appears in the photos. An ingenious way to secure the latches which is no wonder as there were boxes of these bolts in the shed.
The green colour is gorgeous as is the patination created after decades of use. Chippy paint comes to mind.
The numbering on the rear and the writing inside the cupboard clearly adds to its vintage and industrial look.
There are knocks and some cracks to the cupboard, particulary cracks to the underneath. The top also shows two brown narrow planks of wood which apppear to be an addition but nevertheless still old. It clearly has been well used.
