ANTIQUE SHOP COUNTER/DRESSER
Code:119
A late 18th early 19th Century 2 drawer pine shop counte/dresser oozing patination. The top has just the required marks, colour and paint to warrant this being a great piece. This piece maintains its original colour. A versatile item that could be used, for example, as a dresser, work bench or a killer kitchen workstaion.
The drawers are deep and high. There is a little damage to the side on the inside of one of the drawers but nothing that detracts from it or its function. The handles also add to is great look. The fact that they are diffent to each other also enhances the item. The stamped numbering on the left handle is also rather pleasing. The lower shelf is also extremely useful.
The ends of the legs have some wear and tear.
The only place where there has been some restoration are where the gaps on either side of the top have been filled. The purpose of the gaps were to hold a shelving unit in place. The shelving unit is a backless one and is still in our possession. Should you want the shelving unit, we are happy to pass it on with the counter without charge, though of course, it will add to any delivery costs. We can provide photos on request.
