The signature to the bottom right bares the name G. Lichtwald and under that the word ‘Selbst’. The artist could possibly be the German, Gottfried Lichtwald. This is supported by the fact the word ‘Selbst’ in German translates to the word ‘himself’. This painting was sourced from Germany also.

The painting is dated 1956 to bottom right.
