Oil painting of a house and outbuildings in the country. The rear has a label attached which reveals the title as ‘Below the North Downs oil £300.

Condition: Scuffs, marks and cracks to wooden painted frame particulary to the corners. Please note that since our photographer photographed this painting some damage has occurred to the frame. We can provide more photos on request.

Biography:

John Simpson was a practising specialising in portraits, still life and landscapes. He studied art at Reigate School and St Martin’s School of Art between 1961 and 1964. John had taught art in various Adult Education and Art Societies around Surrey and Kent and taught portrait painting at Old Coulsdon Art Society.
