A very well executed portrait of this well respected art deco gentleman by artist Leon Garland, dated 1926. It should be well painted as in 2014, a full lenght portrait by the same hand of a spanish military guard measuring 173cm high and in excellent condition sold way in excess of its estimate for £8,750.

The eyes of this gentlemen are rather captivating and his fingers are pleasing too.

Condition: As can be seen there is discolouration, loss of paint, spots, marks and craquelure in places. There are some issues to the corners of the canvas and the canvas itself would benefit from a professional clean which would elevate this portrait even further.
